How do I apply to earn an accelerated degree at Seton Hill?

You don’t need a separate application. Apply to Seton Hill and let your admissions counselor know you are interested in learning more about earning a bachelor’s degree in an accelerated format. You'll need to have at least 12 college credits coming into Seton Hill – from College in High School, Dual Enrollment, or Advanced Placement  – in order to be able to complete most academic programs in as little as three years.

All five of Seton Hill’s Schools offer majors that can be completed in an accelerated fashion. These currently include:

Will I be required to attend classes in the summer?

No. Seton Hill’s program does not require students to take classes in the summer. For instance, if you come in with 12 credits, you could take 18 credits each semester for a total of 6 semesters. Of course, you can opt to take a summer course if you'd prefer. 

How much cost savings can a student experience?

By graduating in as little as three years, you could potentially save a year of tuition (and a year of room and board, if you live on campus) minus the costs of the College in High School or AP credits with which you entered. However, College in High School and AP credits are offered at a fraction of the cost of regular credits.

How will Seton Hill support me if I plan to graduate early?

Seton Hill faculty academic advisors provide one-on-one personalized guidance. This includes helping to map out the courses you need to take each semester in order to graduate early. Your curriculum plan will be determined by your major and the number of pre-college credits you bring with you to Seton Hill.

Will I be ready for graduate school if I earn an accelerated degree?

Yes! Your faculty academic advisor will help you plan for graduate school (at Seton Hill or elsewhere). 

Will I be able to participate in extracurricular activities or athletics?

Absolutely - as long as you can balance a load of 18 credits per semester with your activities. 

Will I be able to enroll in the FastForward Bachelor's to Master's Program if I earn my degree in three years?

Probably not, as the FastForward Programs generally offer graduate program courses at the undergraduate tuition rate in the fourth year of undergraduate study. Your academic advisor can help you find the best option for you, depending on your major and your plans for the future.
