M.A. in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling

As a minimum of a master's degree is required to become a practicing art therapist, Seton Hill also offers a M.A. in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling Program. This graduate program, approved by the American Art Therapy Association, provides you with the educational requirements needed to attain credentials as a nationally recognized Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor (LCP).

Careers

Career Center GraphicAccording to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, therapy jobs are expected to continue increasing steadily, with an annual salary between $30,000 and $80,000. Students in this major who do not plan to go on to graduate school (or do not wish to do so right away) can explore a community arts focus, and learn to use the arts to address social concerns.
