Our extensive internship program and academic partnerships with local and regional corporations and organizations (including local crime labs) will provide you with practical experience in your field and a competitive edge in the job market. On-campus research internships are also available. Recent on-campus research studies have included:
- A multi-year study on the response of individuals with deficiencies in DNA repair pathways to potential toxins. This opportunity came as a result of a Seton Hill contract with IMS Government Solutions, the Department of Defense, and the United States Air Force.
- Ongoing discovery and analysis of new phages through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's SEA-PHAGES project. (Phages are important to researchers in part because it is believed that they might offer an alternative to antibiotics.)
- A multi-year research collaboration with the Integrative Cardiac Health Project at Walter Reed to study health behaviors of college students.
