At Seton Hill, You Don't Have to Apply for Most Scholarships
Once you are accepted at Seton Hill, we’ll match you up with the scholarships for which you are eligible. (In cases where auditions or special applications are needed, we’ll let you know in advance.) Below are some of the scholarships available to Seton Hill students.

Full-Tuition Scholarships (Seton Scholars)
These scholarships are awarded to incoming full-time freshmen who demonstrate outstanding scholarship and talent in one of the traditional undergraduate programs of study. Valued at more than $100,000 each, the scholarships are renewable for a total of eight semesters of study at Seton Hill as long as the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. For additional information on specific criteria, please contact the Admissions Office. These scholarships cannot be combined with any other scholarship or grants from Seton Hill University. Students receiving these awards are known as Seton Scholars.
Seton Hill University Scholarships
These renewable scholarships are awarded to incoming full-time students at two levels:
- $10,000 to incoming freshmen with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher, and a minimum 19 ACT or 910 SAT score.
- $14,000 to incoming freshmen with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher, and a minimum 24 ACT or 1100 SAT score.
Offered to all full-time students who meet the criteria and are unconditionally admitted to the University.
- Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen who have attained a cumulative high school GPA of 4.0, with a mininum 29 ACT or 1300 SAT score. These scholarships are valued at $18,000 and are renewable.
- Aloysia Lowe Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen who have attained a cumulative high school GPA of 3.75 or higher, with a minimum 26 ACT or 1200 SAT score. These scholarships are valued at $16,000 and are renewable.
Honors scholarships are awarded to incoming full-time freshmen who are accepted into the Honors Program. These awards are valued at $2,500 per year and are renewable for a total of eight semesters. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student remains in the Honors Program.
Alumni Legacy Scholarships
Alumni Scholarship: These awards are provided to any full-time student with a parent that graduated from Seton Hill University. They are valued at $2,000/year and are renewable.
Sister de Chantal Leis Alumni Scholarship : This scholarship is awarded to an incoming student, preference given to children of a graduate of Seton Hill. Renewable for three consecutive years provided the student maintains all academic requirements and University standards.
Joseph C. Cahill Scholarship : This scholarship was established to encourage children and grandchildren of Seton Hill graduates to attend the University. Preference is given to students not receiving extensive financial aid from other sources.
Seton Hill, a member of the NCAA Division II, awards athletic scholarships to eligible incoming students based on their athletic ability, an evaluation at open try-outs, and recommendations of their high school coaches. Athletic aid is offered to qualified women who participate in basketball, cross country, equestrian, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball and to qualified men who participate in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, and wrestling. Rising Star Scholarships
A scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to graduates of Catholic high schools who enroll as first-year, full-time students in a bachelor's degree program at Seton Hill University in the academic year immediately following their high school graduation. This scholarship is renewable.
Sisters of Charity Scholarships
Annual awards, which are renewable for four years, are made to students who are recommended by a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill to attend Seton Hill University.
Transfer scholarships are awarded to students who enroll full-time at Seton Hill and have achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 based on all previous post-secondary course work. These scholarships are valued at up to $14,000 annually and are renewable. The number of terms for which the scholarship may be renewed will depend on the grade level at which the student enters Seton Hill University.

The scholarships above are all offered through Seton Hill University. Many other scholarships are available through civic clubs, high schools, school districts, companies where family members are employed, churches, and a host of other organizations. Students are encouraged to investigate these outside scholarship opportunities.
