Spanish Grad Emily Dolgas Serving as Bilingual Nurse on Frontlines of the Pandemic

Emily Dolgas graduated from Seton Hill in 2017 with a degree in Spanish. She then went on to earn her nursing degree. Emily is currently an ER nurse, serving on the front lines during the COV-19 pandemic. On many of her shifts, the majority of her patients are Spanish speakers. In a recent conversation with her Seton Hill Spanish professor, Dr. Debra Faszer-McMahon, Emily expressed her gratitude for her Seton Hill education, and the opportunity to serve the most vulnerable during this challenging time.

“At Seton Hill, there are so many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom,” Emily says. “Seton Hill has connections not only with other towns or cities near Greensburg, but with other states and even countries that help further learning and experience. These connections, combined with classes taught by professors who are passionate about teaching, create such a well-balanced university.”
