We continue to honor the men and women who have served our country by assisting veterans, reservists and guardsmen - and their families - in understanding and obtaining their military educational benefits, and by providing a supportive environment in which they can excel in their academic endeavors.
Full Tuition Paid for Veterans Through the New GI Bill
Seton Hill is proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide full tuition benefits to eligible veterans or their dependents through the New Post - 9/11 GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program. Through the New GI Bill, the VA will cover tuition for eligible veterans in an amount that equals the highest in-state tuition for a public institution of higher learning. Through the Yellow Ribbon GI Enhancement Program, Seton Hill and the VA will cover any additional tuition costs, so that veterans who want to attend Seton Hill can do so without paying extra tuition for attending a private institution. Eligible veterans or their dependents can also receive a book allowance and monthly allowance for housing costs. For more information about this new benefit, visit New GI Bill.
For those eligible, funding from the Veterans Administration, Seton Hill University, and other sources of grants and scholarships will cover up to the cost of tuition and fees based upon their eligibility. Federal grants and loans and state grants will be awarded based on VA, federal and state regulations.
Seton Hill seeks to maximize financial aid opportunities for all students. Thus, in cases where a student's total educational benefits are above direct tuition and fees charges, Seton Hill will reduce other forms of institutional aid.
Once the recipient's Yellow Ribbon entitlement has been exhausted Seton Hill may reinstate the institutional scholarships or grants to assist with unmet charges, provided the student has maintained satisfactory progress, conduct and attendance.
Visit the Department of Veterans Affairs for up-to-date information on other educational benefits.
