Studying Abroad in Santo Domingo

Fourteen students took advantage of a 2016 J-Term trip to Santo Domingo to study Spanish in an immersive environment while learning about Caribbean cultures. The students, led by Associate Professor of Spanish Debra Faszer-McMahon, lived with Dominican families, traveled daily to areas of historic and cultural significance, and took language courses at a local school.

“It was the best experience of my life and I would recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity.”

- Madilyn Ferretti, Seton Hill business administration - human resources major
