Spanish Major Sherry Spataro Presents 'Fairy Tales & Pixel Dust' at C-CUE Conference
February 22, 2007
Spataro, who plans to return to Seton Hill to obtain a teaching certification in Spanish after earning her bachelor of arts degree, demonstrated how students could research fairytales, folklore, legends and urban myths from Spanish speaking countries and use them in the creation of a wiki for the classroom. The wiki would also include similar stories that the students would write themselves.(A wiki is a website that allows visitors to add and edit content easily.)
"The audience seemed excited about the concept," Spataro said. "It was a wonderful first experience."
