John Fogle, Athletic Director at Seton Hill University, announced that Nicholas Simmons, son of Keith and Annette Simmons of Pittsburgh, PA, accepted a golf scholarship and will attend Seton Hill in the Fall of 2002 with a major in business.

A senior at Perry Traditional Academy, Simmons was a member of the golf team, City Champs Qualifiers, and was the team’s MVP. He was a member of the swim team, winning 6 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and a MVP City Qualifier. He was also a member of the varsity tennis team. Simmons participated in Perry Volunteer Days and Earth Day.

“Simmons will have a great impact on the golf team,” commented Dan McCarty, Seton Hill’s golf coach. “I expect him to contribute a great amount of talent and look forward to having him on the team.”
