Greensburg, PA - Seton Hill University awarded 130 undergraduate degrees, 29 masters degrees and three certificates during its commencement exercises on May 10, 2003. Seton Hill also awarded four honorary degrees: the Doctor of Humane Letters to Seton Hill’s scheduled commencement speaker Fred McFeely Rogers (posthumous); the Doctor of Music to Joanne Byrd Rogers, Fred Rogers’ wife and accomplished Concert Pianist; the Doctor of Fine Arts to Barbara deCoux Luderowski, Executive Director of the Mattress Factory and the Doctor of Humane Letters to Steve Forbes, President and CEO of Forbes, Inc.

Michele Moore Ridge, Chairman of the Seton Hill Board of Trustees, presided over the Commencement ceremonies in Sullivan Hall on Seton Hill’s campus. Dr. Mary Ann Gawelek, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the University, presented the candidates for degrees and Dr. JoAnne Boyle, University President, conferred the degrees.

Steve Forbes addressed the graduating class.

The Most Reverend Anthony G. Bosco, Bishop of Greensburg, delivered the blessing to conclude the commencement exercises.
