Seton Hill University has been recognized as a “Military Friendly School” by G.I. Jobs, which is published through Victory Media. The top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools which are doing the most to embrace America’s veterans as students are featured in the publication

Over 7,000 schools nationwide were analyzed for inclusion on the list using methodology, criteria, and weighting developed with the assistance of an Academic Advisory Committee consisting of educators and administrators from Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Toledo, Duquesne University, Coastline Community College, and Lincoln Technical Institute. The schools recognized by G.I. Jobs provide benefits to student veterans through offerings that may include on-campus veterans programs, credit for service, and military spouse programs.

“Seton Hill first welcomed veterans in 1946 when 40 World War II veterans were accepted as students. We are delighted by this recognition from G.I. Jobs and especially pleased to partner with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to honor those who have served our nation by providing them with full tuition benefits,” said Seton Hill President JoAnne Boyle.

Seton Hill University will provide full tuition benefits for eligible veterans and their dependents through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program. Additionally, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships are now available to prospective and current Seton Hill University students. The scholarships are granted by the United States Army on a competitive basis.

“This list is especially important now because the recently enacted Post-9/11 GI Bill® has given veterans virtually unlimited financial means to go to school. Veterans can now enroll in any school, provided they’re academically qualified. Veterans need a trusted friend to help them decide where to get educated. The Military Friendly Schools list is that trusted friend,” said Rich McCormick, G.I. Jobs publisher.
