“Wow!” Hough said, appearing thoroughly stunned as Seton Hill Admissions Counselor Ashley Josay presented him with the check. “This is really exciting! I don’t know what to say.”

After the brief presentation, Hough celebrated with his classmates, modeled his new Seton Hill apparel and returned hugs and kisses from beaming family members, including parents Randall and Sherri Hough, brother Joshua, sister Rachel and grandparents Jean Hough and Jim and Carolyn Svec.

Seton Hill recently announced the creation of the Seton Scholars Program, which will annually award four full-tuition scholarships to outstanding scholars who are incoming freshmen in each of the University’s four academic divisions. Hough is the first student to be named a Seton Scholar; his scholarship was awarded through the Division of Visual and Performing Arts.
