What: Seton Hill University will host a series of dance workshops by Broadway dancer and TV dance judge Rachelle Rak, a Pittsburgh native. Rak will lead three workshops – one for the public, one for Seton Hill University Theatre and Dance students and the third for students of the Seton Hill University Dance Academy. The cost of the public dance workshop is $35 per person. Class size for the public session is limited to 22 students.

Who: Rachelle Rak began her dance training at age two under the direction of her mother, Rosalene, at the Rosalene Kenneth Professional Dance Studio in Pittsburgh. Rachelle, nicknamed “Sas,” is labeled a Triple Threat on Broadway for her immeasurable talent in dance, singing, and acting. Rachelle has had leading roles in “Fosse,” “Sweet Charity,” “Flashdance,” “Chicago,” “A Chorus Line,” “Smokey Joe’s Café,” “West Side Story,” and many more productions.


She has performed in countless concerts and productions at New York City’s Town Hall and has been a crowd favorite time and again in many “Encores” performances at City Center.


Rachelle’s talent doesn’t cease at the stage. She can be found on screen in commercials for Ebay, had a recurring role on the soap opera series “Another World” and was featured in the documentary "Every Little Step" (The Making of “A Chorus Line”). She was a guest on “Dance Moms,” which led her to her new position as a judge on “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” on Lifetime. Rachelle has performed on television shows such as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” “Late Night with David Letterman.”
