GREENSBURG, PA- The Seton Hill production of Working opens Thursday, September 27, 2001. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. in Reeves Theatre. A musical from the book by Studs Terkel, adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso and songs by Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Mary Rodgers and Susan Birkenhead, Stephen Schwartz and James Taylor, this delightfully inventive revue celebrates the American work ethic in rousing and memorable song. Lyrics and dialogue make use of the original words of uncommon men and women, all of them American workers—including a parking lot attendant, corporate executive, newsboy, schoolteacher, gas man, housewife, fireman, waitress, mill worker and a host of others- all of them singing passionately about their jobs, all of them inviting us to share not only their daily routines, but their most cherished hopes and profoundest dreams.
