GREENSBURG, PA- The Seton Hill College Early Childhood programs, the Kindergarten and the Child Development Center, were recently granted accreditation for an additional three-year period by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This prestigious recognition has been achieved by approximately 7% of early childhood programs nationwide.

To achieve accreditation, Seton Hill College centers, which provide programs for children ages three to six years old, completed a rigorous, voluntary process which demonstrated that they meet national standards of excellence in areas such as administration, personnel, curriculum and health and safety. This intensive self-study included collected information from parents, teachers, administrators and classroom observations. The Seton Hill College Early Childhood programs also received an on-site visit conducted by early childhood professionals specially trained by NAEYC to validate their self-study results. A team of national experts who grant or defer accreditation independently reviews all information.
