Dr. Gordon’s March 22 lecture “Relationships and Sexuality: Is it Possible to Be Sexual and Holy? And What’s Love Got to Do With It?” is free and open to the public

Seton Hill’s Campus Ministry will present a lecture by relationship expert Dr. Sol Gordon on March 22 at 7 p.m. in Lynch Lecture Hall on Seton Hill’s Greensburg, Pa. campus. The lecture, “Relationships and Sexuality: Is it Possible to Be Sexual and Holy? And What’s Love Got to Do With It?” is free and open to the public. A panel discussion, question and answer session, and book signing will follow the event.

Clinical psychologist Dr. Sol Gordon is a an author and lecturer on relationships. He taught at Yeshiva University and Syracuse University where he was Professor of Child and Family Studies and founding director of the Institute for Family Research and Education. Dr. Gordon is professor emeritus at Syracuse University. He has written over 100 articles, authored numerous books, and has received awards for his work. He has appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Sixty Minutes,” and “The Today Show.”

A panel will interact with Dr. Gordon and generate discussion with the audience. The panel consists of Cindy Boland, director of Seton Hill’s Campus Ministry; Fr. Vernon Holtz, O.S.B., Ph.D., clinical psychologist and associate professor of psychology at Saint Vincent College; and Rev. Stephen Honeygosky, O.S.B, Ph.D. Seton Hill Chaplain and assistant professor of English. A number of Dr. Sol Gordon’s books will be available in Seton Hill University bookstore and available at the door before and after the night of the event, with opportunity for signing by Dr. Gordon, including “When Living Hurts;” “A Friend in Need: How to Help When Times are Tough;” “How Can You Tell If You’re Really In Love?;” and the most recent, “Another Chance For Love: Finding a Partner Later in Life.”
