Seton Hill University graduated 143 students during its December 17, 2007 and January 9, 2008 commencement exercises.

The December 17, 2007 commencement ceremonies were held in the Katherine Mabis McKenna Center on Seton Hill’s Greensburg, Pennsylvania campus. Dr. Mary Ann Gawelek, provost and dean of the faculty, presented the candidates for degrees, and Dr. JoAnne Boyle, Seton Hill president, conferred the degrees. Dr. Stuart Thompson, Seton Hill professor of art, served as commencement speaker. Thomas Yarabinetz, Greensburg Salem School District’s Superintendent of Schools, received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the commencement ceremonies. Sister Lois Sculco, S.C., vice president for mission and student life, delivered the blessing to conclude the ceremonies. The December 17 commencement ceremonies included students who had earned their degrees in August and December 2007.

On January 9, 2008 Seton Hill University conferred nine Master of Arts degrees in Writing Popular Fiction at a ceremony that took place in Seton Hill’s Cecilian Hall. Dr. Lee McClain, director of the Writing Popular Fiction program, presented the graduates for degrees. Dr. Mary Ann Gawelek, provost and dean of the faculty, conferred the degrees. Graduating student Teffanie Thompson White delivered the commencement address. To graduate from the Master of Arts in Writing Popular Fiction program at Seton Hill, students must complete a market-ready full-length fiction manuscript.
