A native of Orlando, Florida, Marshall moved to Greensburg, PA in 2005 from Cherry Hill, NJ (suburb outside of Philadelphia, PA). She earned a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Bethune Cookman University, in Daytona Beach, FL and a M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix – Philadelphia campus. She is a doctoral candidate with research interests in entrepreneurship and eCommerce. Additional training includes certification as a trainer for CoreFour Business Plan development course. Her professional experience includes work in several industries, including international publishing, banking, engineering, and consulting with roles as a business owner, marketing director, and Seton Hill University's E-Magnify women's business center manager. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in the business division. Marshall also works as a business counselor for women entrepreneurs that are interested in starting or growing a business venture. Marshall also serves as a board member for the United Way of Westmoreland county, the YWCA of Westmoreland County and the NAACP of Greensburg. In 2009, she was recognized as one of the "50 Women of Excellence" by The New Pittsburgh Courier and in 2007, Onyx Woman Magazine recognized her as one of the "Amazing 10" in the Pittsburgh region.
