Joshua was born and raised in Latrobe PA, and began learning music from his Mother, a voice major at Seton Hill University. He began learning the guitar at age 12 and studied privately with local instructors until 18, when he studied with Pittsburgh Jazz Guitarists Ken Karsh and Jimmy Ponder. Also at age 18, he began his teaching career at Volkwein's Music in Latrobe PA. In his 20s he co-founded the Jazz/Fusion group "The Strangers" with national scottish fiddle champion Colyn Fischer, and began performing all over Pennsylvania. Later he began performing Jazz independent and in combinations. In 2006 he was the featured accompanist on Colyn Fischer's "New and Traditional Music in the Scottish Style" In 2008 he was recruited by the Westland Academy For The Arts, a private school in Greensburg PA. In 2012 he began performing with Pittsburgh Rock Group "Derek Woods Band, and recorded on their EP "Dancin." He has since performed with many national touring acts including Rusted Root, Leon Russell, Lisa Marie Presley, Tim Reynolds,and Lucas Nelson. In 2014 he was recruited by the Seton Hill Music Community Arts Program to teach guitar and bass guitar. In 2015 he founded the Jazz Trio "The Rainbow Ends." He is currently working on a second album with Derek Woods Band and a debut album with Rainbow Ends to be published in 2016.
