Seton Hill Named a Best Regional University by U.S. News and World Report
Seton Hill University was once again named among the Best Regional Universities in the North in the 2027 edition of America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The university was also lauded in the Top 15 among Best Value Schools and Best Colleges for Veterans. The exclusive rankings are available online at www.usnews.com/colleges.
Seton Hill University’s 2027 Best Colleges Rankings at a Glance:
- No. 39 in Regional Universities in the North (up 27 spots from No. 66 in 2026);
- No. 12 in Best Value Schools among Regional Universities in the North (up 8 spots from No. 20 in 2026);
- No. 14 in Best Colleges for Veterans among Regional Universities in the North (up 18 spots from No. 32 in 2026); and
- No. 27 in Top Private Schools among Regional Universities in the North (a new ranking for 2027).
Seton Hill’s rankings place it as the top Best Value School in Western Pennsylvania and the highest-ranked Best College for Veterans in the entire state.

The 2027 edition of the U.S. News Best Colleges rankings evaluates more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities, using up to 17 factors to measure academic quality and graduate success.
U.S. News publishes the Best Colleges rankings each year to provide prospective students and their families with the comparative merits of the undergraduate programs at America’s colleges and universities. The rankings, which date back to 1983, offer detailed information of the institutions and data on factors such as graduation rates and post-graduate earnings.
