Celebration of Scholarship Showcases Student, Faculty Research

The Celebration of Scholarship brings the Seton Hill community together each spring. This day serves as a campus-wide celebration of the academic achievements, creative works, and research excellence of our students and faculty.

students present posters with their researchThroughout the day, students and faculty took part in verbal presentations, displayed their academic work at poster sessions, and participated in panels.

Students in the School of Visual and Performing Arts performed their works in theatre, music, and dance on stage in Cecilian Hall and demonstrated their art in the Arts Center.

Students from the Honors Program also gave a preview of their projects at the Honors Capstone Symposium Prelude, which culminated in a longer presentation as part of the Annual Honors Capstone Symposium a few days later.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) Innovative Project Grant featured hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities led by faculty, the Future Scholars Program and members of the Seton Hill ACS Student Chapter and highlighted ACS resources.

Some additional featured presentations included AI Academy Capstone presentations by faculty and staff; Celebration of Writing research presentations by students in Composition and Culture; an AI Ethics Bowl; The B Corp Case Competition: Energy, Water, and Action led by students in Corporate Ethics; and Environmental Impacts of Micropollutants Research Posters.

The day ended with a ceremony to formally recognize student awards at Honors Convocation in Cecilian Hall.
