Michele Wisnesck Named Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Management

Wisnesck began new role Sept. 1

Michele Wisnesck has been appointed Seton Hill University’s new Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Management.

Wisnesck began her tenure on Sept. 1, 2025 and takes on the role upon the retirement of Brett Freshour, who served as Vice President for Enrollment Management for more than a decade.

“Michele Wisnesck has been a valued member and leader of Seton Hill’s Enrollment Management Marketing team, and she has been instrumental in shaping the University’s enrollment marketing strategy and leading initiatives that directly support student recruitment,” President Finger said. “Her experience in business, marketing, strategic communication and consumer behavior uniquely positions her to lead Seton Hill’s integrated enrollment and marketing strategy, and I am confident she will continue to serve the University with innovation, energy, and a deep commitment to our mission.”

"I’m honored to take on this new role and to continue working with an exceptional team committed to sharing Seton Hill’s story and welcoming students to a university that prepares them for the world in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill,” Wisnesck said. "I look forward to building on the strong foundation within Marketing and Enrollment Management to ensure Seton Hill continues to thrive and grow and that prospective students – locally, nationally and internationally – recognize not only the outstanding educational opportunities Seton Hill provides, but also the transformative experiences outside the classroom that foster personal growth, leadership, and lifelong impact.”

Wisnesck joined Seton Hill University as Assistant Director of Marketing in 2017 before being promoted to Director of Marketing in 2021.

She has led critical initiatives that have strengthened Seton Hill’s visibility and effectiveness, including the launch of a new website, implementation of an AI recruiter tool that supports admissions, and the development of Seton Hill’s “Find Your Forward” branding campaign.

Wisnesck has spent the last year working closely with Freshour and attending industry conferences to further her knowledge of all areas of Enrollment Management as her new role will include oversight of marketing as well as admissions, financial aid and student accounts.

Prior to joining Seton Hill, Wisnesck held several roles in tourism marketing at the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau, culminating in her role as Director of Interactive Marketing. She began her career in customer service and sales with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a focus in Communications, and a Master of Science in Media Arts and Technology with a focus in Web Design and Development - both from Duquesne University. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Rhetoric & Communication at Duquesne, with emphasis areas in Integrated Marketing Communication and Media Ecology.
