Sam Brooks serves as an adjunct professor of voice at Seton Hill University. Many of his students are Musical Theatre, Theatre Arts, and Dance majors focusing on building a strong vocal technique and performance skills in Broadway, Contemporary, and Pop/Rock styles. He encourages his students to find their unique voices and gives them the tools to freely express themselves on stage. He studied voice and acting at New York University where he taught as an adjunct voice faculty. While in NYC he had the opportunity to perform at Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway venues. He has taught Broadway performers, grammy-nominated artists, as well as contestants on The Voice. He is the music director for the intensive youth musical theatre camp at The Strand Theater.
Sam continues to perform in many local theatres in the Southwestern Pennsylvania area. Some favorite local Musical Theatre credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus) at The Strand, Titanic the Musical (Edgar Beane)at Lincoln Park, The Last Five Years (Jamie)at the Greensburg Civic, The Rocky Horror Show (Brad Majors) with Split Stage Productions, Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf) at The Theatre Factory, Cabaret (Cliff) with Main Street Theatre Company, and The Wedding Singer (Robbie Hart) with Mon River Arts.

He also performs solo with his Jazz Band at many local venues, wineries, and private events. Sam loves being a part of the community at Seton Hill University. The support that the students have for each other and the safe space created to nurture and develop their craft is something he has not experienced anywhere else. There is truly a sense of community.
