While at the studio, she was a dance assistant for three years and an instructor during her senior year. Hicks danced on the competitive team starting at age six. She won many awards for both solo and group competitive numbers. During her senior year she choreographed for the competitive team too. Hicks also has been teaching students ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap at the recreational and competitive levels for the last two years with SHUDA. Hicks was formerly a dance instructor at Westmoreland Gymnastics, Greensburg, PA, and she is also a choreographer/instructor at Spirit Elite All-Star Cheer Squad, Latrobe, PA.
