Summer Camps for Youth Impacted by Cancer to be held at Seton Hill Arts Center
Cancer Bridges, an organization that provides support to those impacted by cancer through a variety of free programs and services, holds Camp Clubhouse for elementary-aged children and Teen Camp for middle and high school youth in Greensburg through the support of the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation.
Any youth impacted by cancer - whether it is their own diagnosis, a family member or friend who has been diagnosed, or the loss of someone close to them to cancer - can attend the camps at no cost.
Camp Clubhouse, which runs Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 5-12, offers a supportive and playful environment where kids can express emotions through art, creativity, and connection with peers who understand what it’s like to have cancer in the family. Each day blends emotional support with fun activities and features games, special visits from community partners, creative projects, and shared camp traditions.
Teen Camp, which will be held on Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., provides teens ages 13-17 with a space to connect with others who “get it,” while honoring their independence and individuality. Through creative activities, peer connection, and meaningful shared experiences, teens build confidence, support, and lasting memories.
This summer will mark the third Camp Clubhouse offering at Seton Hill, with this being the first year for Teen Camp. Seton Hill students, particularly those studying art therapy, serve as volunteers.
