Bio

Lori Mackey is a Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Child Life Specialist with an extensive background in medical art therapy, specializing in pediatric oncology. Prior to joining Seton Hill, Dr. Mackey worked as an art therapist with pediatric and adult oncology patients and their families within hospitals and non-profit environments. She has been an active volunteer for 15 years with Camp Dost, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings. In addition, Dr. Mackey was previously an adjunct faculty member at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her current research interests include body awareness, response art, self-care, and the dynamics within the therapeutic relationship.
