Seton Hill University: Forward Into the Future

Seton Hill University President, Dr. Mary Finger, speaks about the mission, history, values and future of Seton Hill in this video. Seton Hill students, along with President Finger, share what makes the university so special and how the university will continue to innovate and move forward into the future.

A Message from President Mary C. Finger, Ed. D.

Last spring, The Allegheny Conference on Community Development released “Inflection Point,” a groundbreaking report on the workforce development needs in the 10-county Pittsburgh region.

“Inflection Point” highlighted the changing nature of business and industry in the region and the ways that demographics will lead to a shortage of skilled employees over the next decade. The report is a roadmap for business leaders and educators on the ways we can work together to address the region’s needs and provide our students with the education that will lead to successful careers.

When I first read the report, I was struck by the academic programs that Seton Hill offers and others under consideration that address some of the very serious issues facing the region and the evolving marketplace.

Notable Seton Hill University initiatives from the recently completed academic year include:

We want our students to have the best opportunities to learn and grow here at Seton Hill University, and we continuously make enhancements to what we offer our students in order to stay innovative and to accommodate our growing student population.

Sincerely,

Mary C. Finger, Ed.D.
Seton Hill President
