STUDENT ACCOUNT CREDITS

Updated April 7, 2020

Seton Hill University will provide a 40 percent prorated for room and board charges for the Spring 2020 semester to those students impacted by the decision to close the Residence Halls for the remainder of the semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Returning underclass students will have those credits used toward an existing balance and/or toward a future semester's room and board charges at Seton Hill for the 2020-21 academic year. Graduating seniors will have their credit applied first toward an existing balance and then will be issued a refund if the credit exceeds that balance.

The Office of Student Accounts and the Registrar is continuing the complex process of updating student account balances to reflect room and board credits from the Spring 2020 semester. Graduating seniors will have their accounts credited and any refunds processed by the end of April. While the crediting process will not be completed until summer for returning underclass students, Seton Hill will ensure that students are not impacted as we work on crediting accounts. As a result, Seton Hill has suspended charging interest to Spring 2020 account balances. Students will be able to register for Summer and Fall 2020 classes even if they have a financial balance.

Questions about individual accounts may be directed to the Office of Financial Services and the Registrar at HelpFinReg@setonhill.edu or (724) 830-1010.

Dear Seton Hill Students,

I hope all of you continue to stay healthy and safe as we continue the Spring 2020 semester remotely.

I am writing today to remind all of you of the updated undergraduate registration schedule for Summer and Fall 2020. The schedule is as follows:

·      Wednesday, April 15, at 6 a.m. – Seniors

·      Thursday, April 16 at 6 a.m. – Juniors

·      Friday, April 17 at 6 a.m. – Sophomores

·      Monday, April 20 at 6 a.m. – Freshmen

Please remember to sign up for your advising appointment for Fall 2020 class registration if you have not already done so.  All students must meet with an advisor to receive “Registration Clearance” for fall classes – an important step in the registration process. Students are required to obtain registration clearance each semester from their advisor.  Students do not need special clearance to register for Summer 2020 classes.

To be cleared to register, students should set up a pre-registration advising appointment with their advisor and come prepared with a proposed list of courses.  Once students have obtained registration clearance, they will be eligible to register via GriffinGate on Seton Hill’s class registration system on their assigned day.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work through these unique circumstances. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about registration or student accounts at HelpFinReg@setonhill.edu or 724-830-1010.
