Seton Hill Wrestlers, Staff Help Save the Life of Assistant Coach

When Seton Hill wrestling volunteer assistant coach Mark Marshall began suffering a heart attack during practice on September 19, his team and fellow coaches sprang into action and helped save his life.

Head Coach Brian Tucker, freshman wrestler Joseph Miller, Assistant Coach Brett Smith, student assistants Ty Lydic and Tanner Druck, and Jordan Blair, a contracted athletic trainer through Excela Health, all played a role in the emergency response.

The entire University community is grateful for the quick response and heroic efforts of the coaching staff, training staff, and the wrestling team. These efforts resulted in saving Coach Marshall's life.

We also extends prayers to Coach Marshall for a full and complete recovery. Coach Marshall has been a volunteer assistant wrestling coach since Seton Hill's program began in 2006, and he has been an important part of the lives of the many wrestlers he has mentored.
