Seton Hill University’s Board of Trustees welcomes three new members: Matthew J. Galando, Sister Louise Grundish, S.C. and Richard Hendricks.

Matthew J. Galando, of Pittsburgh, Pa., is employed by the law firm of K&L Gates LLP in Pittsburgh as a firmwide continuing legal education manager. In addition to his work with K&L Gates, Galando is also a residential and commercial realtor with Walnut Capital Real Estate. He is a member of the Seton Hill University Alumni Association Board of Directors and was appointed to serve as the Alumni Trustee. Galando serves as the vice president of the Board of Directors for the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra and member of the Board of Directors of the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds.He also volunteers his time with the City Theatre on the Young Professionals Committee and WQED as a pledge drive volunteer. Galando is a 2010 WQED Volunteer in the Arts Award nominee for his work with the Edgewood Symphony. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Saint Vincent College and Master of Business Administration degree from Seton Hill University.

Sister Louise Grundish, S.C., of Greensburg, Pa., currently serves as the archivist for the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill. Prior to this ministry, Sister Louise was the health director for the Sisters of the Divine Providence. She also worked at the Pittsburgh Hospital, serving in various capacities, including director of the School of Nursing, operating room supervisor and nursing instructor. Sister Louise currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Catholic Youth Association (secretary), Pennsylvania League of Nursing, Pittsburgh Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association, Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership on Aging, Duquesne University School of Nursing Alumni, Archivists of Congregations of Women Religious (president) and Vincentian Regency Board. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and Master of Education degree from Duquesne University. Sister Louise earned her Master of Nursing Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed requirements to obtain a certification in Gerontology.

Richard Hendricks, of Greensburg, Pa., is retired from Kennametal, where he had a career which spanned over two decades. While at Kennametal, Hendricks held the positions of vice president, Corporate and Business Development; vice president, Engineered Materials Division; vice president, Mining and Materials Division; vice president, Advanced Materials Division; general manager, Specialties Division; and director, Corporate Planning. Hendricks is active with the Service Corps of Retired Executives. He obtained both a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brown University. Additionally, Hendricks completed graduate management studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
