In addition to the students recognized at the Honors Convocation ceremony, two Seton Hill students – Shanna DeFrances of Export, PA and Rose Marotta of Greensburg - are the recipients of the Act 101 Region G 2004 Student of the Year Award.

Susan Fligger of Mt. Pleasant, recipient of a Seton Hill honor in Social Work, is also the first Seton Hill student to serve as a student representative to the Board of the PA Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). The NASW is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world.
