On August 21, Seton Hill University hosted the second annual Women of the Hill Golf Outing. Sponsored by the Seton Hill University’s women’s basketball team and women’s golf team, more than 100 guests gathered to support the student-athletes at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo, Pa. Donors, parents of the athletes, friends of Seton Hill and athletic alumni participated in or sponsored the event. Seton Hill University’s Director of Corporate and Community Relations Kris Smith noted that athletic support, detailed planning and strong committees made their outing a success.

“The fundraiser allowed our parents and friends to interact informally as well as cooperatively to take part in staffing various booths and competitive stations before, during and after the event,” said Carolyn Thompson, head women’s golf coach.

“It was a great day with Hall of Fame participates and supporters of both programs. This event helped raise money for our student athletes to train and travel this season,” stated Ferne Labati, head women's basketball coach.

All proceeds and donations will support the women’s basketball and golf teams for travel, competition, programs, facilities and equipment. Smith noted, “It was a lot of hard work, but Sunday evening, after the event was finished, we knew it was well worth the labor. Everyone’s hard work supports the student-athletes, and we are proud to see the success.”
