Professor Michael Cary’s Book, Hope in Hard Times, Receives Arthur St. Clair Award

“Hope in Hard Times: Norvelt and the Struggle for Community During the Great Depression,” co-authored by Dr. Michael Cary, Seton Hill professor of history and political science, has been awarded the Arthur St. Clair Historic Preservation Award. This award honors individuals, organizations, businesses or educational institutions that have made a significant and sustainable contribution to the preservation of Westmoreland County’s rich historic places, documents, records or stories.
