GREENSBURG, PA – Senior Beth O’Conner finished her volleyball career at Seton Hill in fine fashion, being named to the 2003 American Mideast Conference North Division 1st Team for the second straight year.

O’Conner, a native of Boswell, PA and product of North Star High School, finished 12th in the AMC in kills per game with 3.38. She also finished ninth in the conference in both attack percentage and blocks for the 2003 season. O’Conner is no stranger to the leader board as she finished sixth in the American Mideast Conference in kills per game in 2002, as well as 8th in attack percentage and 9th in blocks per game. She also led the entire AMC in blocks per game in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

O’Conner’s accolades during her senior campaign include being named to the All-Tournament Team at the Clearwater Christian Invitational, as well as the American Mideast Conference Player of the Week from October 26 through November 1.

O’Conner was the catalyst for a Seton Hill team that upped its 14-18 record of 2002 to 26-13 this past season, which included a school-record 12 consecutive victories. The Griffins finished in second place in the American Mideast Conference North Division and sixth in the final Region IX rankings.
