GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director of Seton Hill College, announced that Kayla Bittner, daughter of Roy and Janet Bittner of Somerset, PA, has accepted a soccer scholarship. She will be attending Seton Hill College in the Fall of 2002.

A senior at Somerset Area High School, Bittner served as captain of the girls’ varsity soccer team, was named the Somerset Varsity Girls Soccer Outstanding Player and was named to the “Varsity S Team.” In addition, she played on the PA All-State Team during her senior year, the LHAC All-Conference Team during her junior and senior years, the Somerset All-County Team during her junior and senior years and was named the Somerset County Offensive MVP during her junior and senior years.

In addition to her athletic endeavors, Bittner also serves as a Yearbook section editor, FCCLA- 108 Committee Head and was a Kiwanis Student of the Month. She is a member of Student Council, TATU, SADD, the National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Powder Puff Football Team. In addition, she volunteered at the Special Olympics, Senior Citizen’s Prom and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Bittner plans to major in biology at Seton Hill.
