This service trip will immerse students into the situation of the poor in Mexico, to learn first-hand of their experience, and to partner with them in building quality homes for those living in substandard conditions. During this week students will also have opportunities to observe some of the local customs, visit local villages, shops and restaurants, and take a side trip to explore the richness and beauty of Mexico's landscape, culture and people. Two weeks of classroom study (1/2 - 12) accompanies this trip for those taking the course for 3 credits. This opportunity is also open to anyone who would like to go on the trip for no credit, but credited students will be accepted first. All seeking to attend the trip must get a signature from the instructor, Cindy Boland, boland@setonhill.edu, 724-830-1075 or x4576.
