The Griffin field hockey team closed out its season with a 4-0 loss at home to #1 Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon.  Before the contest, six Griffin seniors were recognized.  With the loss, the Griffins fall to 5-12 overall and 2-8 in PSAC play.  Shippensburg got on the scoreboard quickly, taking a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest.  Shippensburg made it 2-0 at the 19:23 mark when they knocked in a rebound.  The Raiders extended the lead to 3-0 with a goal less than five minutes later.  Shippensburg took a 3-0 lead into the halftime break but it could have been more if not for Rececca Portillo's 15 saves in the first half.  Shippensburg closed out the scoring with a goal eleven minutes into the second half.  Portillo finished the contest with 23 saves.
