Seton Hill University’s women’s basketball team, led by head coach Ferne Labati, will face the University of Pittsburgh’s women’s basketball team, led by head coach Agnus Berenato, in a preseason game on Tuesday, November 10, at 7 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh’s Petersen Event Center. Tickets for the game are $5 and are available the day of the game at the University of Pittsburgh Ticket Office, which will open at 5:30 p.m. For ticket information, call 412-648-PITT.

Agnus Berenato’s daughter, Clare, is a freshman on the Seton Hill University team. Clare Berenato, a graduate of Oakland Catholic High School, has become an active participant in the Seton Hill community and is a member of the Seton Hill University Student Ambassadors, Campus Ministry, Student Activities Council, Make a Wish Club, and Social Work Club.

"My mother’s players are like my sisters. I spent every day this summer working out with them and getting to know them. Not only are they tremendous athletes, but they are remarkable women. They are led by an impressive coaching staff and truly have great chemistry,” said Clare Berenato. “The game on November 10 is an opportunity for our Seton Hill team to play in an environment against NCAA Division I athletes. Our coaches, who are amazing teachers, have really pushed us in preseason to become a better team. Our team is very excited to play Pitt. It will be a great game and we are ready to take the Panthers on.”

Agnus Berenato and Labati have a close friendship and spirited rivalry. In fact, Labati has become an honorary member of the Berenato family.

“Seton Hill University’s women’s basketball team is looking forward to playing Pitt on Tuesday night. Agnus and I have coached against one another many times when I coached at other universities. To me this is an excellent opportunity for sports fans to get to know Seton Hill University and our women basketball team,” said Labati.
