Two local exhibits currently feature the work of Associate Professor of Art Pati Beachley. Elements of Glass, the 2007 members exhibition of the Pittsburgh Society of Sculptors, opened October 13 at the Panza Gallery in Millvale, Pa., and will run through November 10. The First Avenue Sculpture Exhibit, which uses a long urban plaza (the First Avenue Corridor) in downtown Pittsburgh as an exhibition space, opens October 19 during the Pittsburgh Cultural District’s Gallery Crawl and runs through December 14.

Beachley, the president of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh (AAP), has also been working hard to put together AAP: then & now, which includes their annual juried exhibition and a curated historical survey of their 97-year history called The Popular Salon of the People, opening at the Carnegie Museum of Art on November 2, 2007.
