Seton Hill’s Program in Nutrition and Dietetics will provide you with a science-based food and nutrition education that combines learning in the classroom with laboratory and supervised practice experience in community settings, such as hospitals, schools, community service agencies, day care centers and long-term care facilities.
The Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum has been infused with opportunities to develop mastery of entrepreneurial skills. The program's area of concentration, Entrepreneurial Approaches to Dietetics Practice, prepares graduates to be innovative dietetics practitioners in employment settings or as private practitioners with their own businesses. The program fosters entrepreneurial spirit by providing experiences with a private practitioner and community dietitians. After taking a course in business plan development, our students develop a business plan and compete in a Coordinated Program Business Plan competition. The winning project is presented as a campus-wide event and the winning student is recognized as the Coordinated Program's Entrepreneur of the Year.
Getting Into the Program
Study in the Nutrition and Dietetics Program officially commences in the junior year, however, freshman applicants to Seton Hill University who want to participate in the program should apply to the Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at the same time they apply for admission to the university.
