Here We Go Steelers Intern Megan Warman

Communication major Megan Warman needed to find a good internship, so she asked James Bosco, assistant professor of hospitality and tourism, for advice. “He mentioned one with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he had a connection,” she says, “So I went forward and applied.”

Megan got the internship, and has been having a great time  “dealing with sponsors, season ticket holders and Steelers fans around the world.”

A marketing intern, she’s also been enjoying the opportunity to promote and implement events at Heinz Field.

After obtaining the position, “my boss told me what they look for,” she says. “Not only hard workers and leaders - but activities outside of the classroom, especially related to community service.”

Megan is not lacking in leadership or community service experience. In addition to her communication major and minors in business administration and hospitality and tourism, she played soccer for Seton Hill (serving as captain in her sophomore year), volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters, served as president of the Communication Club and was active in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

“Overall, I feel that I will definitely be able to carry over a lot of the skills needed for my internship to my career after college. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for such a great organization that has been able to teach me so much.”
