Science, Marketing, HR Majors Working at Mylan

Seton Hill students from varied majors are excited to begin working at Mylan this summer.

“I am excited to actually use my education,” says Erika Wisniewski, who graduated with degrees in chemistry and forensic science on May 14 and started with Mylan on May 25. “I obtained the topical products analytical chemist position, which is what I wanted to do after I completed college. I cannot wait to start this experience and gain real world chemistry experience.”

As a leading pharmaceutical company, Mylan naturally attracts science majors. As a global employer, it’s also a great fit for business majors.

“I approached a recruiter for the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Department with my resume and I had an interview within the next week,” says Honors Program student Catrina Abbott (SHU 17), a human resources and marketing major. “I will be interning in the Global Talent Acquisition Department. I am looking to challenge myself and get applicable real-world experience as well as network with other interns and other business professionals of the company.”

Mylan is a pharmaceutical company that develops, licenses, manufactures, markets and distributes generic and branded generic products for resale by others; specialty pharmaceuticals, and active pharmaceutical ingredients. It represents a workforce of 35,000 and maintains 40 facilities located around the world. Seton Hill’s Career and Professional Development Center participates in the Mylan Networking Day each year. During this event, students have the opportunity to visit local Mylan offices, learn about internship and employment opportunities and network with professionals in the field.
