Dr. Monsour received her undergraduate degree in English from Carlow University, her Master's Degree and Principal Certification from Duquesne University, and her Letter of Eligibility and doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Monsour taught 8th grade English at Independence Middle School in Bethel Park, PA, was Assistant Principal and Principal of Peters Township Middle School in McMurray, PA. Most recently, Dr. Monsour was Director of Staff Development & Instructional Technology Integration for the Peters Township School District. This position included the creation of and implementation of the district's Induction Program, supervision of all new teachers, collection and analysis of assessment data (PSSAs/PASAs, Keystones, CDTs, ACTs, AP, SATs, Stanford Achievement Tests), Federal Programs Title I Coordinator, grant writer and supervisor, and creator of all staff development inservices. The Instructional Technology Integration portion included supervision of online course development, training in the use of Blackboard, iTunesU, and Moodle, and ongoing support for online integration of curricula; instruction in the use of iPad apps, web 2.0 tools, Smartboard software, document cameras, and special education technologies.
