Lindsay McGivern is a local artist with a BFA in Dance from Slippery Rock University with a focus in dance performance and choreography. She has performed repertoire from various artists including Helen Simonaue, Ursula Payne, Teena Custer, Matthew Schaeffer, and Matt Pardo. As a choreographer, she has created an original work entitled, "Restoration" based on the research of Dance as an outlet for social justice issues. Lindsay teaches and choreographs for Millennium Dance Complex in Pittsburgh and Intensity Dance Academy. She has performed with Exhalations Dance Theater and as an apprentice for the Staycee Pearl Dance Project. Performances include, "Ascendance" by Rae Productions, "Raw Artists Pittsburgh", "Dance Shorts" by Texture Contemporary Ballet, and "Worx" by Staycee Pearl and Soy Sos. Lindsay has taught masterclasses in Salt Lake City, Utah at Groove the Academy, Luv 2 Dance Studio, and Millennium Dance Complex. Lindsay continues to work locally as a teacher, choreographer and performer.
