I have a BS in Biology Education from Slippery Rock University and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Science from The University of Pittsburgh. I started my teaching career at Mount Pleasant Area High School, teaching biology and human anatomy for 12 years. Towards the end of my 12 years I had my third child and decided to stay at home with my children. While at home, I was contacted and asked to teach at Duquesne University in the Human Gross Anatomy Dissection Lab. This was truly a dream job for me! I love to learn and there is truly no better place than the cadaver lab if you want to continue to learn and see new things everyday! I have been at Duquesne for 16 years. I started at Seton Hill University 5 years ago as an adjunct in the undergrad anatomy lab and the Human Gross Anatomy Lab. I feel blessed to be at SHU. I work with amazing students and faculty, and I could not ask for a better place to be! In my spare time, I coach a High School and a YMCA swim team. I am a former swimmer and distance runner who has now moved onto a Peloton bike to save what is left of my joints! I love staying active and spending time with my kids.
