I have a BS in Biology Education from Slippery Rock University and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Science from The University of Pittsburgh. I started my teaching career at Mount Pleasant Area High School, teaching biology and human anatomy for 13 years. Towards the end of my 13 years, I had my third child and decided to stay at home with my children. While at home, I was contacted and asked to teach at Duquesne University in the Human Gross Anatomy Dissection Lab. This was truly a dream job for me! I love to learn and there is truly no better place than the cadaver lab to continue to learn and see new things everyday! I have been at Duquesne for 15 years. I started at Seton Hill University 5 years ago as an adjunct in the undergrad anatomy lab and the Human Gross Anatomy Lab. As of 2020, I am full time at SHU, and feel blessed to be here. I work with amazing students and faculty, and I could not ask for a better place to be! In my spare time from teaching, I enjoy my Peloton Bike and running. I have ran several marathons, including the Marine Corp, NYC, and Boston Marathons. I am a big Peloton rider now, as my joints have had enough pounding over the years. I was a competitive swimmer through college, and I have since then taken my swimming knowledge to the coaching level. I have been coaching swimmers for 34 years, ranging from age 5 to National caliber swimmers, including my own children. Over the years, teaching and coaching has allowed me to meet some amazing people, and hopefully I have and will continue to impact many lives in a positive way. I am grateful and blessed for the opportunity each day!
