Seton Hill has been preparing educators since 1885. Our founders, the Sisters of Charity, consider education one of their most important missions. Today, graduates from Seton Hill's education programs go on to become professional educators in public, private and parochial schools or work in various capacities with adoption and child care agencies, adult continuing education programs, alternative schools, pre-school and after-school programs, education programs in correctional institutions, educational software design, state and federal education assistance and support programs, tutoring programs and textbook development.

Teaching Certification in Pennsylvania

Seton Hill's teacher certification program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for certification preparation. Students who secure the recommendation for certification by an approved college or university have met all the requirements of the approved preparation program and the State Board of Education, and have passed all state-required exams.
