An Online Program Approved by the PA Department of Education’s Autism Spectrum Disorders Endorsement Program
As part of Seton Hill’s commitment to preparing educators to meet the needs of all learners, we offer a graduate-level program in autism that can be earned on its own or added to Seton Hill’s master’s programs in special education and elementary/middle level education. Added to a master’s program, it will prepare you to add the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Autism Spectrum Disorders Endorsement to your professional credentials.
Students seeking the Master of Arts in Elementary/Middle Level Education along with the added Autism Endorsement Program will take all courses associated with the master’s program plus four additional three-credit courses:
- SED 841 Autism: Theory & Practice
- SED 842 Autism Strategies Developing Social Competence
- SED 843 Autism: Applied Behavior Analysis
- SED 844 Autism: Assessment, Curriculum & Traditions
To Apply for the Endorsement
After successfully completing the master’s program and the additional Autism Endorsement Program, you can apply for the endorsement using the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Teacher Information Management System.
