Seton Hill currently offers teaching certification preparation in these areas:

Art - Education (K - 12)

Prepare to teach art in grades K - 12 while earning your art education (B.A.).  This degree/certification preparation program is offered through Seton Hill's Division of Visual and Performing Arts in association with the Division of Education. 

Biology - Education (7 - 12)

Earn your undergraduate degree in biology while fulfilling the requirements for teaching certification in biology grades 7 - 12.

Business, Computer and Information Technology - Education (K - 12)

Earn an undergraduate degree in the major of your choice while fulfilling the academic requirements for teaching certification in business, computer and information technology, grades K - 12. 

Chemistry - Education (7 - 12)

Prepare to become a chemistry teacher in grades 7 - 12 while earning your undergraduate degree in either biology or biochemistry.  

Elementary Education (Pre K-4) with Special Education (Pre K-8)

Prepare for two certifications while earning a B.A. in elementary education (Pre K-4) with special education (Pre K-8).  


English - Education (7 - 12)

Earn an undergraduate degree in creative writing, literature or new media journalism while preparing to become a certified English teacher in grades 7 - 12.

French - Education (K - 12)

Prepare to become a French teacher in grades K - 12 while earning the undergraduate degree of your choice at Seton Hill. 

Mathematics - Education (7 - 12)

Earn a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics while preparing to become a math teacher in grades 7 - 12. 

Music - Education (K - 12) 

Prepare to teach music in grades K - 12 while earning your bachelor of music in music education. This degree/certification preparation program is offered through Seton Hill's Division of Visual and Performing Arts in association with the Division of Education.

Social Studies - Education (7 - 12)

You can prepare to become a social studies teacher in grades 7 - 12 while earning your undergraduate degree in any major, although history is recommended. 

Spanish - Education (K - 12)

Earn your bachelor of arts degree in Spanish while preparing to teach Spanish in grades K - 12.

Special Education (7 - 12)

Secondary education students can add certification in 7 -12 Special Education while earning your master's degree in Special Education.

4-8 Middle Level

You can prepare to teach middle level grades 4 - 8 while earning your master's degree in elementary education/middle level education.
