Worship and Prayer

The schedule for Sunday Mass and other liturgical services is found in The Vine. Information about church and synagogue services in the Greensburg area is also available. Ecumenical Prayer Services for the entire University community are held several times each semester.

Spiritual programming and sacramental ministry are provided to nurture students' spirituality and human growth. In addition to regular liturgical and prayer experiences, there are opportunities for retreats, evenings of reflection, Bible study and faith sharing.

Students are encouraged to volunteer and be trained for the following ministries:
  • Cantor
leads the assembly in song at Sunday Mass and special liturgical celebrations.

  • Chapel Singers
support and enhance the singing of the Sunday assembly.

  • Eucharistic Minister
assists the presider in distributing the Eucharist at Mass and presides at weekday Communion Services.

  • Lector
proclaims the Word of God at Sunday liturgy and special liturgical celebrations.

  • Liturgical Assistant
assists the sacristan in preparing for Mass and assists the presider during the celebration of the Mass.

  • Minister of Hospitality
greets the assembly as they gather to worship and assists in the distribution of worship aids and in taking up the collection.
