Residence Life Programming
As part of integrating the residents into a community atmosphere as well as educating them, Seton Hill's Resident Assistants provide programs for their residents. The programs center around a eight-dimension wellness model: emotional, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, spiritual, community service, and diversity.
There are four basic programming goals in residence halls: to develop a community; to educate; to involve students in their own learning; and to provide an outlet for the release of emotions. These are all designed to enrich the students' experience here at Seton Hill.
In planning programs, the Resident Assistants and Resident Teaching Assistants take into consideration the interests of their residents. Residents are encouraged to approach the Resident Assistants and Resident Teaching Assistants with ideas for programming.
Some examples of programming include:
- Blood Drives
- Talent Shows
- Room Door Decorating
- Movie Nights
- Resume & Professional Interviewing presentations
- Dodgeball games
- Children's book writing
The Resident Assistants are always looking for fresh, new ideas for programming to their residents' interests. If you have an idea for something you would like to do, let them know!
